NYC subway in 2009: New South Ferry; Cortlandt partly reopens
A new South Ferry terminal opened in March 2009. In November, the northbound platform at BMT Cortlandt Street reopened, so that station is present in this year-end view. The separate WTC Cortlandt station on the 1 line remained closed.

2001: Cortlandt Street on the 1 line
The September 11 attacks destroyed the station. Trains later returned through the site, but this station remained closed throughout this period.

2001: 63rd Street joins Queens Boulevard
The new connection let subway trains continue beyond the former Queensbridge terminus onto Queens Boulevard.
